I am Martín Álvarez: a writer, bookseller and reader behind Tremendos Libros. I write from a used-book bookstore, but the blog does not stop there: books, culture, politics, media, technology and institutions all belong to the same public conversation.

Tremendos Libros works here as a bookstore, a living archive and a starting point, not as a thematic border. The center is a signed way of looking: essays, interviews, readings and arguments about what we read, what circulates, what is disputed and what a society chooses to see or leave out.

Un falso gurú is not a spiritual promise. It is closer to a warning: I am not here to enlighten anyone. I am here to read, look, underline, take pictures, listen to songs that change the pulse of an essay and, now and then, cause a reasonable discomfort where the conversation has become too tidy.
